OUR HISTORY
Gladesville Ryde Physical Culture Club has been an active physie club since 1939, being known as Gladesville Methodist Club, Gladesville Uniting Club and Gladesville Club. In 2000 it merged with Ryde to become known as Gladesville Ryde.
In 2024 our Club celebrated its 85th year of teaching BJP Physie.
In February 2012 the Club proudly became an Incorporated Association under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW).
We are a non-profit established solely to conduct, encourage, promote and advance the benefits and fun of BJP Physical Culture.

With over 150 clubs, BJP Physie is Australia’s longest running and premier Physie organisation. Founded 129 years ago as the Bjelke-Petersen School of Physical Culture, BJP has proudly inspired generations of Australians to exercise both body and mind through this remarkable sport.
