Celebrating 85 Years of Teaching Physie

At Gladesville Ryde Physie, we proudly teach the BJP Physical Culture Syllabus. BJP Physie is the oldest running and most prestigious Physical Culture establishment in Australia. For 125 years, BJP has provided a national platform for Physie clubs to come together to engage in competitions and camaraderie.

Gladesville Ryde Physical Culture Club has been an active physie club since 1939, being known as Gladesville Methodist Club, Gladesville Uniting Club and Gladesville Club.  In 2000 it merged with Ryde to become known as Gladesville Ryde. In 2023 the Club will proudly enter its 84th year of teaching BJP Physie.

In February 2012 the Club proudly became an Incorporated Association under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW). We are a non-profit established solely to conduct, encourage, promote and advance the benefits and fun of BJP Physical Culture.
